Hippodrome Circus
The historic Hippodrome in Great Yarmouth is Britain’s last surviving total circus building, built in 1903 by the legendary circus showman George Gilbert and modernised by the Jay family. A contemporary family-friendly take on the big-top experience, spectators can look forward to four shows a year:
an Easter show, Summer Circus & Water Spectacular, Halloween Spooktacular and Christmas Spectacular Circus & Water Show, a fast-moving alternative to traditional pantomime. Hosted by the Hippodrome’s favourite ringmaster Jack Jay, shows are brought to life with international acrobats, aerialists, dance troupes, swimmers, daring stunts and much more circus magic.
